Quanto riuscirai a sopravvivere?

Scenario:

Milano, Febbraio 2020

Hey there! Thanks! Yeah, when I released this I was planning to, but let's say I also hadn't any idea of how would this whole covid thing play out at the time and I never really felt like translating it lol...

Grazie!

i made a video review of this game. Keep up the good work guys.

Thank you so much! I agree with everything you said in the video lol, if you are curious about the story behind it there's a devlog written in English here on itch.io that explains everything. Lol I regret not translating it now, but I didn't think anyone would review it after the initial release...

Be safe and well!

I understand you are easily triggered by things you see on the internet and know nothing about, but if you took the time to read what I have written (even through a translator) and contextualize you would not waste your energy insulting people you don't know.

First of all, I made this game 2 months ago. The situation was very different (basically only us Italians were affected by the epidemic) and the scope of it was to face this tragic situation with a smile, that is what we needed...but what would you know about our situation back then?

Secondly, the game is free: I have no intention of making a profit off of anything. I really empathize with whoever is affected by this situation (equally or worse than I am) and would never try to make money off of anybody's tragedies. Again, the game was posted 2 months ago and the "Name your own price" option is only there to symbolize that if anybody actually had gotten the whole point of the project and wanted to support an independent creator, they could.

Your reaction tells me that not only you have not understood anything about this game and the story behind it (apart from the store page – which is in Italian – there is also an extensive devlog fully written in English which goes over everything I said so far and more), but also that you do not understand how free software and content creation work.

Please, next time try to contextualize and understand what you are talking about before insulting others.

PS: it's "you're trying", not "your trying".

Listen, I am sorry that you got so upset about a videogame published two months ago which makes some irony on what happened in Italy around that time, but there is nothing that I can do about it. If I wanted to make money off of it I certainly would not have posted it FOR FREE, which is what I did (and I would have probably polished it a little bit better: how could I have people pay for a game I forgot to implement a pause menu in?).

Not everybody is evil in this world, and not everybody is trying to profit from your losses.

Please, try to understand the actual scope and context of all of this. It’s not too late.

I agree with the dev. Again, they made it a while ago, before the situation was serious and also to kind of cheer people up and/or cope with the situation.

You can be upset all you want, but that doesn't change the facts they said and that they kinda apologized. So if you don't like this project, leave it and the dev alone.

Thanks for your concern and I whole-heartedly agree with taking the situation seriously, but spreading hate or negativity like this here and misinformation (like the devs wanting money for it) is really uncalled for.

Stay safe and don't let your frustration and (understandable) anxiety out on people on the internet.

We'll get through this together ;)

Currently learning Italian, so once I master it I'll come back to play this game for sure!

Good luck learning Italian! I hope you manage to reach the results you are aiming for!
